I love living at home. A new nursing home opened down the road, and I went there for two weeks but I didn't like it. It’s important that I live at home. My Hireup workers helped increase my movement — I’m an out and about sort of person, and they’ve really made me independent now.
— Frank, 85 year old Hireup client

The Australian Government has introduced a new Statement of Rights to clearly set out what every older person should expect when getting support. It’s part of a broader shift toward aged care that puts people first. Along with the New Aged Care Act, this will officially be in place from November 1, 2025.
