Yes. You will need an approved aged care provider to manage your funding (as per government regulation) and you’ll need to check that your provider is approved at Hireup. If you don’t have an aged care provider yet, enquire today and we can help you find a great self-management provider.

You will need to choose a provider that offers a self-management package. Self-managing means you are responsible for coordinating your own support (e.g, scheduling workers). Your aged care provider will still take care of paying your invoices and helping set up your care plan. This saves you money in fees and gives you more choice and control over your support. However, it does take more of your time so it’s a personal decision about what will work best for you and your family.

No, unfortunately, you cannot use Commonwealth Home Support Program (CHSP) funding at Hireup. The government has selected a specific list of aged care providers who can accept CHSP funding. To find a CHSP provider in your area you can search on MyAgedCare.

If you would like to use Hireup, you can pay for your support privately or you may like to apply for Support at Home funding via MyAgedCare.

There’s a seven day payment period on your invoice.

In most situations, Hireup services are GST exempt. Our rates are shown exclusive of GST. (Some limited exceptions may apply).

If a worker uses their own car during a shift, Hireup applies a rate of $1.07 per kilometre. This is calculated based on the distance driven during the shift and does not include travel to and from the shift.

Payment of travel time from your Support at Home funding funds will need to be discussed with your provider.
