Specialist Disability Accommodation (SDA)
There are multiple NDIS packages people with disability can use for support in their home. But what about a home itself?
If you have high support needs, you may be able to access a new place to call home through Specialist Disability Accommodation.
While Hireup doesn't assist with SDA, our Home and Living consultants can help you to live independently.

What is SDA?
Specialist Disability Accommodation (SDA) is a range of housing designed for NDIS participants with high support needs. SDA is designed with accessibility in mind to help residents live more independently and have better access to supports in their home.
Who can get SDA?
As an NDIS participant, you may be eligible for SDA if:
- You are over 18 years old
- You have a functional impairment or high support needs
- You require a home with accessibility modifications
- You have a reasonable and necessary need to access SDA
What is difference between SDA, SIL and ILO?
Where SDA funds the physical house and space:
- Support Independent Living (SIL) allows you to live with other people with disability or on your own, and can build your skills too.
- Individualised Living Options (ILO) fund support in your home from someone like a support worker.
How does SDA work?
Specialist Disability Accommodation funds the physical house, space, and any modifications required within it.
