Case study
Rohan can maintain his independence with support from Emily
Emily works alongside Rohan to plan support, manage workers and make day-to-day life easier.
“Ro still has somebody that he’s able to contact. It gives his parents the peace of mind that yes, somebody else is there. And mum and dad know I’m in the background cheering for Ro to be as independent as he is.”
— Emily, Rohan’s Support Team Lead

What funding can you use for Hireup PLUS?
Hireup PLUS is a bespoke service unique to Hireup, and you can use one of the following funding types to access it:

Core Supports (Assistance with Daily Living)
Day-to-day direct support and rostering activities.

Individualised Living Options (ILO)
For people setting up their own living situation.

Supported Independent Living (SIL)
In flexible models, Hireup PLUS can support daily structure without full rostered care.
How is Hireup PLUS different from Support Coordination?
A Support Coordinator is there to assist you to navigate and implement your NDIS plan. A Support Team Lead is a hands-on Lead Support Worker who assists you with your ongoing daily home and living goals.
Support Coordinator
- Help understand and navigate your NDIS plan, including budget management across all support categories.
- Develop Support Plans and organise service agreements, ensuring all stakeholders are informed.
- Connect with NDIS providers, community, mainstream, and government services, and complete necessary referrals.
- Assist in understanding provider charges, approve invoices, and access the NDIS portal with your consent.
- Organise and attend plan review meetings, collate reports from allied health professionals, and report to the NDIA.
- Lodge paperwork with the NDIA, follow up on outcomes of changes or review requests, and facilitate stakeholder meetings.
Funding Source: Support Coordination
Hireup PLUS Support Team Lead
- Provide face-to-face support to clients and assist with appointment scheduling and planning/ordering meals.
- Handle rostering, recruit and train staff, and manage the support worker group chat.
- Liaise with family, support coordinators, specialists, flatmates, and the Hireup Team Lead; manage team meetings and communication.
- Assist with finding accommodation, managing leases, organising house repairs, and conducting flatmate searches.
- Oversee and support the design and implementation of living situations/lifestyles, work/volunteering opportunities, and personal budgets.
- Develop Support Plans, assist with NDIA paperwork, and provide feedback to allied health professionals.
