The NDIS Worker Orientation Module is an online training course that is mandatory for all support workers who work for registered NDIS providers, such as Hireup. The module explains your obligations under the NDIS Code of Conduct and was developed in consultation with people with disability.
The module is designed to help you better support people with disability. During the module, you'll be encouraged to consider and respond to various scenarios as if you were providing support.
It will provide you with an understanding of the role of the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission and their roles and responsibilities under the Code of Conduct including: human rights, respect and risk.
The NDIS Worker Orientation Module is made up of 4 sections and takes about 90 mins to complete. To access the module, you need to go to the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission website and click the green ‘Access the Module’ button.
From there, you’ll need to create an account. Once logged in, access the module under ‘Topic 1’ in My courses. When you’ve completed the module, you’ll be able to download the required certificate. This certificate will remain available for you to download in future, in ‘My Courses’ under ‘Topic 2’ - though you will need to login to access this. If possible, we recommend that you access the module on a computer The login details you use are separate to your Hireup login.
If you’re completing an application to work with a registered NDIS provider, you will be required to upload your NDIS Worker Orientation Module Certificate. If applying to work for Hireup, this is done when you are setting up your account.
