About the partnership

Hireup is proud to partner with Special Olympics Australia. Working together to ensure more people with disability have access to the right supports to reach their sporting goals. 

Special Olympic athletes can use Hireup disability support workers to participate in their chosen sports and for a range of other activities, including specialised support needs. 

On Hireup, athletes can find, hire and manage support workers who meet their needs and fit their interests.

Getting started is easy

Number one

Sign up

Complete and submit your application. You'll need to fill out some personal details, upload a bio and profile photo.

Number two

Connect with support workers

Use our job board to post jobs and find suitable workers in your area. You can also browse support worker profiles via our search function and message those you'd like to work with.

Number three

Book the hours that suit you

Booking one-off or ongoing support is easy. Pick a time and outline the support you need. After the shift, approve your support workers’ hours, and we take care of the rest.

Pay

Our rates are below the NDIS rates, so you can make your support hours go further with Hireup.

Choose the support you receive

We understand that everyone with disability has different support needs. If that means transport to and from training or assistance at home or out and about in the community. 

As a client, you will be able to choose what types of support you receive. These may fall under the following categories.

Cleaning spray bottle

Help around the house

Cleaning, washing, cooking and other tasks around your home.

Teapot representing in home care

In-home care

Morning and evening routines, medical prompts, and meal preparation.

Bath

Personal care

Showering, toileting and mealtime assistance at home or in the community.

Framed certificate

Specialised care

Complex personal requirements and support for high needs.

Out and about

Support to get out of the house, take a class, exercise, volunteer or go to gatherings.
