Hireup Impact Grants are now open. Here’s how to apply.

1st June 2022

Hireup is excited to launch a new approach to granting. One that’s about enabling people with disability to live the life they choose and fund great ideas that aren’t covered by a NDIS plan.

Introducing Hireup Impact Grants! A new grants program that’s open to individuals, project groups, community groups and organisations who want to enable the pursuit of a good life for people with disability.

Hireup user Kirk catches a wave during his early morning surf in front of a bright orange and yellow sunrise.

The theme for this grant round is: Community Connection. At Hireup, we know that feeling connected to the people around you, and having opportunities to be involved in your communities, has a positive impact on quality of life.

That’s why we’re excited to fund ideas that will help more people with disability to connect with a community (or communities!) of choice, whether it’s your local neighbourhood or even an online community.

Ranging from $500 to $20,000, a Hireup Impact Grant can be used to develop your skills, purchase an item that will improve your quality of life or engage in an unforgettable experience.

The concept for the Hireup Impact Grants program was first thought of in the early days of Hireup, when over and over again a small grant of even a few thousand dollars changed everything. The impact of that money hasn’t been forgotten.

“We always knew that if Hireup had the resources, we were going to use them to help people. We're here now. We have a bit of power to do good and impact people's lives, so we’re going to do it,” says Hireup co-CEO Laura O’Reilly.

Hireup Impact Grants are now open and available to the whole disability community right across Australia, not just Hireup clients.

Learn more about the program, eligibility criteria and how to apply on our Hireup Impact Grants page. Shortlisted applicants will be notified on Wednesday, 27 July.
