Hireup Impact Grants terms and conditions

Overview

The purpose of the Hireup Impact Grants Program is to fund, showcase and celebrate great ideas that bring people with disability, elderly individuals and Hireup Support Workers closer to their good life.

Terms and conditions

1. Eligibility Criteria 

To be eligible to apply for a Hireup Impact Grant you must meet the following criteria: 

1.1 Are a person with disability or older Australian who is a registered client on the Hireup Platform; or 

1.2 An active Hireup Support Worker who has regular support shifts booked via the Hireup Platform; and 

1.3 Be an Australian resident; and 

1.4 Hold an Australian bank account.  

Individuals who are employed or engaged by Hireup in any capacity in its support office or community advisory group and members of their immediate family or household are not eligible for participation in Hireup Impact Grants.

2. Grants

2.1 Grants will be valued at $5,000.00 to promote actions, initiatives, work or activities which contribute to the purpose of the Hireup Impact Grants Program, while also promoting awareness for Hireup’s brand, service and impact activities.

2.2 During the Application Period, any individual (Participant) may apply to receive a grant by submitting an Application Form. By submitting an Application Form, you agree to these terms and conditions (Terms).

3. Selection

3.1 Hireup will appoint Judges in its sole and absolute discretion to select the recipient(s) of a grant.

3.2 Judges will consider the information provided in Application Forms, as well as any other relevant information, to shortlist Participants (Shortlisted Participants).

3.3 Shortlisted Participants will be required to submit further information and / or attend an interview, as determined by Hireup, in order to remain as a Shortlisted Participant. 

3.4 The Judges will consider all applications and additional relevant information available in good faith and in accordance with the purpose of the program to select Grant Recipients from the Shortlisted Participants.

3.5 The Judges may award any number of grants as they reasonably determine,  including deciding not to award any grants.

3.6 The decision of the Judges is final and not subject to review. 

3.7 Grant Recipients agree to make themselves reasonably available to Hireup for the purpose of media, marketing and communications activities to share a story on how they have used their grant funds to execute the grant idea communicated via their Application Process and to promote Hireup Impact Grants.

4. Privacy

4.1 By completing an Application Form, you consent to Hireup collecting, using and disclosing any personal information (including sensitive information), images, videos or other materials provided, for the purposes of operating, improving and promoting Hireup Impact Grants, as well as in accordance with Hireup’s Privacy Policy;

4.2 Grant Recipients: 

In addition to the above clause 4.1, Grant Recipients: 

  1. consent to the above personal and sensitive information being published on the Hireup website (including social media channels) and other publicity or marketing activities; 
  2. agree to execute any additional consent forms as may be reasonably required by Hireup to assist with the above purposes;
  3. warrant that you have all necessary intellectual property rights in the information and materials provided to Hireup; and
  4. grant Hireup a non-exclusive, royalty free license to use such intellectual property for the purposes of media, marketing and communications activities in connection with Hireup Impact Grants.

Hireup may contact any applicant to request further information or require any applicant to complete a background check prior to any grant being rewarded.

5. Liability

5.1 Applicants are responsible for ensuring all information provided in their Application Forms and provided throughout the Application Process is current, accurate and complete. Hireup does not accept any responsibility or liability for any act, omission or provision of inaccurate information by any applicant.

5.2 Applicants acknowledge that there may be risks involved in participating in Hireup Impact Grants and that Hireup does not guarantee any particular outcome of participation. In particular, there may be tax or other implications which Hireup does not take responsibility for and you are encouraged to obtain independent advice regarding such implications, such as whether any grant funds received constitutes assessable income for tax purposes.

5.3 To the fullest extent permitted by law, Hireup will not be liable for any loss or damage suffered by an applicant in connection with the program, except to the extent such loss or damage is caused by Hireup’s negligence, unlawful act, or breach of these terms. 

5.4 Hireup will not be responsible for any breach of these Terms by an applicant. Applicants will be liable for any loss suffered by Hireup arising from a breach of these Terms by an applicant. 

6. Other terms and conditions

6.3 Hireup may determine that any grant funds be provided as either a lump-sum payment or paid on a periodic basis subject to completion or satisfaction of any conditions determined by Hireup.

6.4 Recipients must provide Hireup with relevant information and reasonable assistance to facilitate the payment of any grant funds.

6.5 Grant Recipients must advise Hireup of the date(s) on which they intend to spend the grant funds and with whom they will spend the grant funds with. 

6.6 Unless otherwise agreed with Hireup, the grant funds will be paid by Hireup directly to the Supplier of the item, project or activities outlined in the Application Form or identified through the Application Process. The grant funds must only be spent with a maximum of three Suppliers. 

6.6 Grant funds must be spent within 12 months of receipt of the Grant and on the item, project or activities outlined in the Grant Recipient’s Application Form or as otherwise identified and agreed to with Hireup during the Application Process and not for an Excluded Purpose. 

6.7 Grant Recipients may be asked to provide reasonable updates or evidence of spending to ensure the grants funds are used as intended. 

6.7 Hireup may amend, remove or replace these Terms at any time in its sole and absolute discretion by providing you with 14 days prior written notice. If you do not agree with the updated terms, you may withdraw your Application Form.  

6.8 These Terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales.

7. Definitions

7.1 These terms have the following meanings:

  1. “Application Form” means the Hireup Impact Grants application form available on the Hireup website;
  2. “Application Period” means the period from 9am (AEST) on Tuesday, 30 September 2025 to 11.59pm (AEST) on Friday, 24 October 2025, or such other date and time as may be determined by Hireup in its sole and absolute discretion;
  3. “Application Process” means the process the applicants participate in from the submission of an Application Form to the selection of a Grant Recipient. 
  4. “Excluded Purpose” means any transaction, activity or purpose that is not outlined in the recipient’s Application Form including, but not limited to, any illegal, unlawful or harmful activity;
  5. “Grant Recipients” means the Participant(s) who have been selected from the Shortlisted Participants to receive a grant by the Judges. 
  6. “Hireup” or “Our” means Hireup Pty Ltd (ABN 32 600 120 787);
  7. “Judges” means individuals employed or engaged by Hireup in its support office as appointed by Hireup in accordance with these Terms; and
  8. “Privacy Policy” means Hireup’s Privacy Policy available on Hireup’s website.
  9. “Suppliers” means any service, provider, distributor, company or organisation with which Hireup may need to engage in distributing the grant funding.
  10. “Scholarships” means any financial contribution towards vocational or tertiary studies or business venture. This is not limited to course fees but can include funding to overcome any barrier to access, such as equipment, support, transport, etc.
