Hireup Impact Grants terms and conditions

Purpose

The purpose of the Hireup Impact Grants Program is to fund, showcase and celebrate great ideas that bring people with disability, elderly individuals and Hireup Support Workers closer to their good life.

Terms and conditions

1. Eligibility Criteria 

To be eligible to apply for a Hireup Impact Grant you must meet the following criteria: 

1.1 Are a person who is a registered client on the Hireup Platform; or 

1.2 An active Hireup Support Worker who has completed at least one shift since 1 October 2026 booked via the Hireup Platform; and 

1.3 Be an Australian resident; and 

1.4 Hold an Australian bank account.  

Individuals who are employed or engaged by Hireup in any capacity in its support office or community advisory group and members of their immediate family or household are not eligible for participation in Hireup Impact Grants.

2. Grants

2.1 Grants will be valued up to $5,000.00 to promote actions, initiatives, work or activities which contribute to the purpose of the Hireup Impact Grants Program, while also promoting awareness for Hireup’s brand, service and impact activities.

2.2 During the Application Period, any individual participant may apply to receive a Grant by submitting an Application Form. By submitting an Application Form, you agree to these terms and conditions (Terms).

3. Selection

3.1 All eligible applications will be reviewed and scored by a designated panel appointed by Hireup (the Judges).

3.2 Hireup will appoint the Judges in its sole and absolute discretion to select the recipient(s) of a Grant.

3.3 Each application will be holistically judged based on overall alignment with the program objectives. The Judges will consider the information provided in Application Forms, as well as any other relevant information, to Shortlist Participants (Shortlisted Participants).

The program objectives are; 

  1. Clarity and Communication of the Idea
    Does the application clearly communicate the core concept, personal experience or opportunity? 
  2. Alignment with ‘Live Life Your Way’
    Does the project directly align with the theme ‘Live Life Your Way’?
    Does it empower the individual to hold onto choice and control in their life through economic or systemic change? 
  3. Feasibility & Tangibility
    Is the idea concrete, practical and realistically achievable within the scope of the Grant?
    Is there a clear plan for how the Grant will remove a barrier or enable the project? 
  4. Personal Impact & Self Expression
    Does the initiative meaningfully contribute to self-expression, personal development or maintaining elevating the applicant's standard of living? 

3.4 Shortlisted Participants may be required to submit further information and / or attend an interview, as determined by Hireup, in order to remain a Shortlisted Participant. 

3.5 The Judges will evaluate all eligible applications and any additional relevant information made available in good faith, in accordance with the program objectives and purpose of the program, to select final Grant Recipients from the pool of Shortlisted Participants.

3.6  The Judges reserve the right, in their absolute discretion, to award any number of Grants (including more or fewer than initially advertised) or to award no Grants at all, if they reasonably determine that applications do not sufficiently satisfy the program objectives or standards. 

3.7 The decision of the Judges is final, binding and non-negotiable and is not subject to review, correspondence or appeal. 

3.8 Grant Recipients agree to make themselves reasonably available to Hireup for the purpose of media, marketing, public relations and promotional communication activities, which may include sharing the story about how they have used, or plan to use, their grant funds to execute their grant idea. 

4. Privacy

4.1 By completing and submitting an Application Form, you consent to Hireup collecting, using and disclosing any images, videos or other materials provided as part of the grant application. You also consent to Hireup collecting, using and disclosing Personal Information, if the Personal Information contains Sensitive Information Hireup will seek additional written consent prior to publishing. Hireup will utilise this information for the purposes of operating, improving and promoting Hireup Impact Grants. Any use of information will be in compliance with Hireup’s Privacy Policy;

4.2 Grant Recipients: 

In addition to the above clause 4.1, Grant Recipients: 

  1. consent to their Personal Information being published on the Hireup website (including social media channels) and other publicity or marketing activities. If Hireup wish to use any Sensitive Information they will seek prior written consent; 
  2. warrant that they have all necessary intellectual property rights in the information and materials provided to Hireup in the Application Form; and
  3. grant Hireup a non-exclusive, royalty free perpetual and irrevocable license to use such intellectual property for the purposes of media, marketing, public relations and promotional communications activities in connection with promoting and advertising Hireup Impact Grants.

Hireup may contact any applicant to request further information or require any applicant to complete a background check prior to any Grant being rewarded.

5. Liability

5.1 Applicants are responsible for ensuring all information provided in their Application Forms and provided throughout the Application Process is current, accurate and complete. Hireup does not accept any responsibility or liability for any act, omission or provision of inaccurate information by any applicant.

5.2 Applicants acknowledge that there may be risks involved in participating in Hireup Impact Grants and that Hireup does not guarantee any particular outcome of participation. In particular, there may be tax or other implications which Hireup does not take responsibility for and you are encouraged to obtain independent advice regarding such implications, such as whether any grant funds received constitutes assessable income for tax purposes.

5.3 To the fullest extent permitted by law, Hireup will not be liable for any loss or damage suffered by an applicant in connection with the program, except to the extent such loss or damage is caused by Hireup’s negligence, unlawful act, or breach of these Terms. 

5.4 Hireup will not be responsible for any breach of these Terms by an applicant. Applicants will be liable for any loss suffered by Hireup arising from a breach of these Terms by an applicant. 

6. Grant Funds

6.1 Grant funds must be used exclusively for the specific item, project or activities outlined in the Grant Recipient’s Application Form, or as otherwise explicitly identified and agreed upon in writing with Hireup during the application process. 

6.2 Grant funds will not be disbursed as a single lump sum. Funds will be released incrementally throughout the grant period up to the total awarded amount (not exceeding $5,000) upon receipt and approval of valid payment requests and supporting documentation.

6.3 Where practicable, Hireup will pay suppliers, vendors or service providers directly. Recipients must provide accurate supplier invoices, quotes or payment details to Hireup to facilitate these payments.

6.4 In circumstances where direct supplier payment is not feasible, Hireup may pay funds directly to the recipient upon provision of satisfactory evidence outlining how the funds will be used, including itemised costs, quotes or receipts.

6.5 There is no restriction on the number of suppliers a recipient may engage. Recipients may submit multiple payment requests across the project period as different stages or components of their project require funding.

6.6 Grant funds must be spent within twelve (12) months from the date the Grant is awarded, any unspent funds remaining at the conclusion of the twelve (12) month period must be forfeited or returned to Hireup, unless an extension is granted in writing. 

7. Forfeiture

7.1 A Grant Recipient forfeits their right to receive or retain the Grant if they 

  • decline or turn down the Grant for any reason;    
  • provide false, misleading, or incomplete information in their application; or   
  • otherwise breach any provision of these Terms.

7.2 If the recipient forfeits their Grant, fails to accept the Grant within the specified timeframe, or is found to be ineligible, Hireup reserves the right, in its sole discretion to offer the Grant to another applicant, reallocate the funds to a future program, or withhold the grand funds entirely. 

7.3 Hireup is not liable to any applicant or recipient for any loss, damage, or expense arising from the forfeiture, withdrawal, or re-allocation of a Grant under this clause.

8. Other Terms and Conditions

8.8. Hireup may amend, remove or replace these Terms at any time in its sole and absolute discretion by providing any grant applicant or Grant Recipient with 14 days prior written notice. If the grant applicant or Grant Recipient  does not agree with the updated Terms, they may withdraw  their Application Form.  

8.9 These Terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales.

9. Definitions

9.1 These Terms have the following meanings:

  • “Application Form” means the Hireup Impact Grants application form available on the Hireup website;
  • “Application Period” means the period from 9am (AEST) on Monday, 19 October 2026 to 5pm (AEST) on Friday, 6 November 2026, or such other date and time as may be determined by Hireup in its sole and absolute discretion;
  • “Application Process” means the process the applicants participate in from the submission of an Application Form to the selection of a Grant Recipient; 
  • “Excluded Purpose” means any transaction, activity or purpose that is not outlined in the recipient’s Application Form including, but not limited to, any illegal, unlawful or harmful activity;
  • “Grant” means an amount of up to $5.000.00 AUD paid to Grant Recipients from time-to-time; 
  • “Grant Recipients” means the Participant(s) who have been selected from the Shortlisted Participants to receive a Grant by the Judges; 
  • “Hireup” or “Our” means Hireup Pty Ltd (ABN 32 600 120 787), Level 5, 321 Kent Street, Sydney, NSW 2000;
  • “Judges” means individuals employed or engaged by Hireup in its support office as appointed by Hireup in accordance with these Terms; 
  • “Personal Information” means any information about an individual, or an individual who is reasonably identified e.g., full name, address, IP address 
  • “Privacy Policy” means Hireup’s Privacy Policy available on Hireup’s website;
  • “Sensitive Information” means information about an individual including but not limited to their health, race, ethnicity, political opinions, religious beliefs; 
  • “Suppliers” means any service, provider, distributor, company or organisation with which Hireup may need to engage in distributing the Grant funding;
