Good Life Awards
Overview
The purpose of the Good Life Awards is to recognise, celebrate and reward the important role Hireup support workers in achieving our purpose:
“To enable the pursuit of a good life for everyone”
These terms and conditions set out the rules which govern participation in, and judging of, the Hireup Good Life Awards (Terms).
Terms and conditions
1. Eligibility
1.1. During the Nomination Period, Clients may nominate any Eligible Support Worker for consideration for the relevant awards outlined at clause 2 of these Terms by completing the Nomination Form.
1.2. By submitting a Nomination Form, Clients agree to these Terms.
1.3. Hireup will notify Eligible Support Workers of their nomination. Eligible Support Workers must accept any nomination by confirming their agreement to these Terms in writing in order to continue to be eligible for consideration.
2. Awards
2.1. Eligible Support Workers may be nominated for consideration for the following awards:
Award: Good Life Award
Criteria: Hireup will select 10 Support Workers from across Australia whose actions, work or other activities best represent those services which enable the pursuit of a good life for a Client and everyone.
Prizes for winners: $1,000 prepaid gift card
Award: Good Life Award - Finalists
Criteria: 15 Eligible Support Workers who represent behaviours which enable the pursuit of a good life for a Client and everyone.
Prize for Finalists candidates (excluding winners): $500 prepaid gift card.
Clients will also receive a $200 prepaid gift card if their nominated support worker has been selected as a Finalist.
3. Service Excellence Recognition
3.1 Eligible Support Workers who are nominated for consideration of the Awards listed in clause 2, will automatically be nominated for Service Excellence Recognition.
Criteria: Hireup will select Support Workers from across Australia who have received great feedback from our clients and internal service team. Support Workers who are selected to receive Service Excellence Recognition will have demonstrated their reliability, consistency of support and going above and beyond for their clients.
3.2 Support Workers who receive Service Excellence Recognition will be able to promote their recognition by:
(a) Updating their resumes and Linkedin profiles to showcase their Service Excellence Recognition; and
(b) Receive a virtual Service Excellence certificate.
3.3 Eligible Support Workers who are selected to receive Service Excellence Recognition will be selected in the same way contemplated in Clause 4 below.
4. Selection
4.1. Hireup will appoint Judges in its sole and absolute discretion to select the winners of each award.
4.2. Judges will consider the information provided in Nomination Forms for Eligible Nominees, as well as any other relevant information, to select a winner of each award in their sole and absolute discretion.
4.3. Judges may choose not to select a winner for any award.
4.4. The decision of the Judges is final and not subject to review. Both Hireup and Judges will not engage in correspondence or discussion regarding the selection of winners.
4.5. Each Eligible Nominee, as well as any Clients who nominated those Eligible Nominees, agree to make themselves reasonably available to Hireup for the purpose of media, marketing and communications activities to promote the Good Life Awards.
4.6 Judges will select 25 Finalists in total from which 10 will be awarded as Winners of the Good Life Award.
5. Conflict of interest
As the judging panel will be made up of Hireup employees and members of Hireup’s Community Advisory Group, to avoid any conflict of interest, the following groups of people are not eligible to either submit an application, be shortlisted or win the Good Life Awards:
- Hireup Support Office Employees;
- Community Advisory Group;
- Judging Panel;
and their Support Workers, Immediate family and household members.
6. Privacy
6.1. By completing a Nomination Form or otherwise accepting a nomination, Clients and Eligible Nominees:
(a) consent to Hireup collecting, using and disclosing any personal information (including sensitive information), images, videos or other materials provided, for the purposes of operating and improving the Good Life Awards, publication on the Hireup website (including social media channels) and other publicity or marketing activities, as well as in accordance with Hireup’s Privacy Policy;
(b) agree to execute any additional consent forms as may be required by Hireup to assist with the above purposes;
(c) warrant that they have all necessary intellectual property rights in the information and materials provided to Hireup; and
(d) grant Hireup non-exclusive license to use such intellectual property for the purposes of media, marketing and communications activities in connection with the Good Life Awards.
7. Liability
7.1. Clients and Eligible Nominees are responsible for ensuring all information provided in Nomination Forms is current, accurate and complete. Hireup does not accept any responsibility or liability for any act, omission or provision of inaccurate information by any Client or Eligible Nominee.
7.2. Clients and Eligible Nominees acknowledge that there may be risks involved in participating in the Good Life Awards and that Hireup does not guarantee any particular outcome of participation in the Good Life Awards.
7.3. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Hireup will not be liable for any loss (including, but not limited to, indirect or consequential loss), liability, cost, expense, damage, personal injury or other amounts payable which may be suffered or sustained by any Client or Eligible Nominee relating in any way to the Good Life Awards.
7.4. Clients and Eligible Nominees agree to indemnify and hold harmless Hireup (including Hireup’s officers, employees or contractors) for any loss or liability from any claim or action arising from any breach of these Terms by them.
8. Other terms and conditions
8.1. Hireup reserves the right to determine that any Eligible Nominee is not eligible for consideration at any time for any reason including, but not limited to, any breach of Hireup terms and conditions of employment, service or engagement, as well as Hireup policies and procedures.
8.2. Hireup may amend, remove or replace these Terms at any time in its sole and absolute discretion.
9. Definitions
9.1. These terms have the following meanings:
(a) “Client” means any client registered (either currently or previously) on the Hireup platform, including account managers, support coordinators and providers.
(b) “Eligible Support Worker” means registered and employed Hireup support workers who have at least one completed shift or booking within the six months prior to the Nomination Period, but does not include Support Workers of Judging Panel members or Hireup Support Workers who are also Hireup Support Office employees; 2022 Good Life Award recipients will be ineligible for nomination in the 2023 Good Life Awards.
(c) “Hireup” means Hireup Pty Ltd (ABN 32 600 120 787);
(d) “Judges” means individuals employed by Hireup in its support office as appointed in accordance with these Terms;
(e) “Nomination Form” means the Good Life Awards nomination form available on the Hireup website;
(f) “Nomination Period” means the period from 9am (AEST) on Monday 29 August 2023 to 5pm (AEST) Monday 18 September 2023, or such other date and time as may be determined by Hireup in its sole and absolute discretion; and
(g) “Privacy Policy” means Hireup’s Privacy Policy available on Hireup’s website.
