Overview
Thinking about moving out, or just want more independence? Explore what’s possible with flexible supports using ILO, Core or SIL funding.
The way we think about support is changing. The future is flexible, and co-designed.
Planning for independent living can feel overwhelming. Different funding categories, eligibility criteria and a lot of information to navigate.
When thinking about moving out of home or living more independently, NDIS-funded options like Supported Independent Living (SIL) and Specialist Disability Accommodation (SDA) are often the first models people hear about.
However, SIL does not always mean a traditional shared housing model, and it is not the only pathway to independent living in the NDIS.
Want to move out, but not sure where to start when exploring NDIS options?
You're not alone.
There are flexible, individualised living arrangements that can be shaped around your goals, your support needs and the life you want to build. This may include Individualised Living Options (ILO), tailored SIL arrangements, or supports funded through Core.
Not quite ready to move yet, but want to build your independent living skills?
You're in the right place! Let's talk about innovative support models that can be Core-funded, changing the way people live, plan and prepare for their next steps.
Join the Hireup team for a clear, practical online session designed to unpack the NDIS funding pathways, explore what different living arrangements can look like, and give you confidence to navigate what's next.
