Bushfires information and support

12th January 2020

Right now is a particularly hard time for Australia. We acknowledge the devastation of current bushfires and extend our support to everyone, including those in our community who have been affected.

Your Hireup Bookings

If your Hireup bookings have been impacted or if you have been evacuated and are struggling to find a support worker in the area, please don’t hesitate to contact us on (02) 9113 5933 or at hello@hireup.com.au. We will try our best to assist in any way we can.

Help we would like to offer

During evacuations

If you have booked a Hireup support worker to help prepare for evacuation or to evacuate your home, Hireup would like to contribute to the cost of those bookings.

Emergency Service Volunteers

We would like to take the opportunity to thank all the volunteers working tirelessly to assist communities across Australia right now. We will always encourage our community and our support workers to contribute positively however they can.

If you are part of our community and you have been volunteering in response to the bushfires, we have set up a program to provide a financial contribution to you to recognise your volunteer work. If you have been volunteering as part of the operational response to the bushfires for more than 10 days since 1 July 2019, please contact us to gain access to the program.

Use our Counselling Services

We offer an Employee Assistance Program to all of our Hireup support workers, which can provide counselling and psychological support to our workers when they need it. We would like to extend this program to our entire community, including people seeking support and account managers. If you are interested in using this service, please contact us on hello@hireup.com.au or (02) 9113 5933.

Showing your support

During this time, our community and communities across Australia are actively showing their support to those affected by the fires by donating their time, money and skills. There are many ways you can offer your support right now and we encourage you to in any way you can.
