Yes. You will need an approved aged care provider to manage your funding (as per government regulation) and you’ll need to check that your provider is approved at Hireup.

You will need to choose a provider that offers a self-management package. Self-managing means you are responsible for coordinating your own support (e.g, scheduling workers). Your aged care provider will still take care of paying your invoices and helping set up your care plan. This saves you money in fees and gives you more choice and control over your support.

No, unfortunately, you cannot use Commonwealth Home Support Program (CHSP) funding at Hireup.

If you would like to use Hireup, you can pay for your support privately or you may like to apply for Support at Home funding via MyAgedCare.

Yes. Typically and account manager are the unpaid support in a persons life, such as a family member or significant other.

They are the point of contact for all matters relating to the account, including the emergency contact.

An account manager might be responsible for:

• Checking and responding to messages
• Posting on the job board
• Booking and approving shifts and ensuring all invoices are being paid.
• On-the-job training of workers as well as staff management
• Keeping all information accurate and up to date
• Signing and agreeing to the service agreement

Our hourly rates from July 2026 start at $79.97 hourly (updated annually on 1 July).

Whilst Hireup does offer an extensive range of support types, at this stage we do not provide nursing or allied health support.

Our team is always here to offer timely support whenever you need it. We monitor and respond to incident reports 24/7, ensuring issues are addressed with care and attention.

Yes. You have complete choice over who you work with, and you can rebook the same person for consistency.

If your support worker is sick or unavailable, you can login to the Hireup platform and choose another support worker in your area. We recommend you set up a small team of trusted workers on the platform, so there is always someone you can reach out to when you need it.

Yes. It's free to join, with no lock-in contracts so you can book as little or as often as you like.
